Sumi Hwang, DDS, Northridge Dentist
Dr. Sumi Hwang received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, following a Bachelor’s degree of Biological Sciences from the University of the Pacific and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Rutgers University. Dr. Hwang further enhanced her expertise by completing an externship in the Prosthodontics Department at Seoul National University Dental Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Hwang has completed advanced training in implant dentistry and is an active member of professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the San Fernando Valley Dental Society.
Passionate about serving the Northridge community, Dr. Hwang specializes in restorative and cosmetic dentistry, providing services such as tooth-colored fillings, dental implants, crowns, bridges, and veneers. Through thorough examinations, Dr. Hwang ensures every patient receives clear and detailed explanations of their treatment needs, processes, and options—always prioritizing necessary care without overtreatment.
